Merry Christmas everyone! It is so great to finally know that our Christmas will be white! It keeps snowing and then melting and just making a big mess! I think the snow is here to stay now :) We are celebrating our last HOLIDAY Season here in Russia. It is bittersweet. We have some great plans with the church-family here. Our children have really realized that we are leaving as we are packing our suitcases and planning the goodbye parties. We had such a blessed close of the semester! The Lord is so faithful! The students have been such a blessing to all of us. Please pray for the Bible College here in Vladimir, Russia. pray for the ministry and all the Christians throughout this country. And please pray for the leadership of this country as well.

Recap on our ministry in Russia

In 2003 we packed up in 5 suitcases and 4 carry-on cases and moved our little family to Vladimir, Russia. After 9 months in Vladimir we moved to Kolchugino and began a church-plant in the city of Kolchugino. We stayed in that city for six years before moving back to Vladimir. In between Kolchugino and Vladimir was a very interesting season in our lives. For any of you that followed the ministry during that time will remember that we struggled with what was next. The visa laws had changed in Russia and we did not know what the Lord wanted from us. After much prayer, we returned to Russia to apply for a temporary residency visa. The Lord preformed a miracle and granted us this three-year visa. With this visa we made the commitment of two years to begin Calvary Chapel Bible College in Vladimir. CCBC Vladimir opened in January 2010.

During our first semester of Bible College in 2010, our family traveled to Kolchugino twice a week to continue to Pastor the church. In September of 2010 we were able to hand the church over

to a Russian man and his wife, Anataoli and Ira Khinkos. The goal always was to eventually turn the church plant over to a national so that the church could continue on.

After we turned the church over we understood that our prayers should be directed to praying for a national to take over and direct the Bible College. Our visa would end and with this understanding the need became more apparent. So we began to pray and ask the Lord to provide a Director for the college in His time, and to also send us out again to church-plant if that is His will.

Last fall, Britny and the kids, went to America. They were there for five long months. Over those months with health issues and other circumstances the Lord began to speak to us each individually about our time in Russia, confirming things in one another’s hearts. We knew that the Lord was bringing this season to a close. Last April we sent out a letter to all of you stating that most likely we would be leaving Russia in the next 6- 12 months.

In the last six months in Russia we have been able to hand the leadership of the college over to a National named Roman Usmonov. He will be directing the college after our departure from Russia. Praise the Lord for His pr

ovision and that the ministry will continue on that was begun two years ago.

Future Direction

As far as our family goes we would like to share with you what the Lord has been showing us about our future direction. First of all we will remain in Russia until January 21^st. We will depart back for Los Angeles on that day. The Lord has opened a door for our family to go on another church plant. Pastor Ben Garate of Calvary Chapel Montrose, CO and Pastor Jeff Johnson of Calvary Chapel Grand Junction, CO have invited us to come and plant a church in Delta, CO. With much prayer and the support of our sending pastor, Pastor Cliff Watson of Calvary Chapel Valle Vista in H

emet, CA, we have made the decision to move forward in this direction.

We will move to Colorado either at the end of February or beginning of March. During this time of tra

nsition back to the United States, after having lived abroad for eight years, we will need your support. Our family will be making many transitions: reentry to our own culture after making many adjustments to another, raising our family in a different environment that our children have never lived in, finding work in a new city after not having been in the workforce for eight years, and beginning a new ministry. So we ask as our prayer team and financial supporters that you would continue on with our family as we finish well here in Russia and move in a new direction that the Lord is taking us. The mission has not changed just the location!

As far as our financial situation, currently many individual families sacrifice monthly to financially support our family on the foreign-mission field. We are so grateful for the faithfulness of these people especially during these hard years that the world has been facing financially. Praise the Lord! We want to be upfront with all of you; we do not have a home or anything to fall back on as we reenter the USA, therefore we ask that you would continue on to financially give to our family as we make the transition into the new ministry and reach the city of Delta. I will be looking for work to support our family. My resume has already been sent. However, during this period of transition we need the body of Christ to financially support and assist us. In order to begin a church th

ere will be many costs. Such as renting a meeting place, buying supplies, and miscellaneous costs. Our current monthly support that we receive to live on in Russia will not be enough for our family to live in America let alone to support the new church in Delta, Colorado. So, in recap, we are praying that our current supporters will continue to support the New mission- ministry to people in the USA, and those who receive this newsletter and perhaps have wanted to support us or wanted to support a home-based missionary we would ask you to jump on board with us.

We are blessed and so grateful for all of your prayers and financial support and we look forward to serving with you in this next season of ministry. It has been such a blessing to see the Lord’s provision for our family these last eight years and we are excited to see what God has and what He will do with this team that has faithfully served our family and been apart of the ministry in Russia and what is next for the season with you in Colorado!

We have a couple real practical needs that we would like to share with all of you so you could be praying and if the Lord puts it on your heart to help us meet those needs:

1.) When we arrive to the USA we will need to rent a UHAUL and drive out to Colorado this will be an extra expense for us. (You can send support for this need directly to my parent’s house: 43330 Sunshine Court Hemet, CA 92544- put a note in the envelope what it is for)

2.) When we arrive to the USA we will need a family vehicle. If you know of anyone who is selling one for a good price or would like to donate one to assist us that would be such a blessing.

Mission Monday with the Havertapes

We have not written an update the last couple of Mondays. Please forgive us. We have had an exciting last few weeks with lots of teams, visiting with a family who used to live here in Russia and also preparing for the Bible College to begin as well as preparing for our family’s home school to begin. Whew!!!!!!

It was such a blessing to spend time with the teams this summer. Our family specifically spent a lot of time with the Calvary Chapel Cerritos team. The team went on the streets everyday and passed out flyers to a concert and also shared the Gospel with many on the streets of Vladimir. On Sunday night of their weeklong stay here we held a concert downtown. There was a pretty good turn out and so many came up to us and spoke to us after the concert with many questions about the Gospel and about Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord.

Over the month of July we spent three weeks traveling to Kolchugino to teach there. It was such a blessing to spend so much time with the family there that we miss so dearly. Please continue t pray fro the church body there and the Pastor and his wife as they continue to grow in ministering in what God has called them to do.

The last two Sundays August 14^th and the 21^st, Jason has been traveling to Sobinka, another city closer to Vladimir to teach while the Pastor is away for two weeks. We have been blessed to be able to travel to the different churches and share with the people in the fellowship and encouragement through God’s Word. It also has been a blessing for me (Britny) to lead worship again in these churches as I have had a long break from that.

Today was officially our first day of Home School in the Havertape household. I have three students officially this year YIKES! So as you open this email Monday morning for you I will be winding down and going to bed early I am sure J

The Bible College begins tomorrow morning. Our Students have all arrived and are all arranged in their housing situation for this semester. We are so blessed that each semester the college grows by one or two students! The school of Correspondence is also growing in number. More and more people are hearing of the school and the desire is growing to attend the Bible College. We have three official correspondence students and six students studying on campus. Praise the LORD!!!!!

Please continue to pray for the College and the financial aspect of the College. We are still trying to raise funds for one of our students. Mission Monday with the Havertapes

We pray that each one of you had a great week! All the medical issues have come to a close for now and every one is basically healthy, so praise the Lord!

As so many of you have been praying for our family we also have been praying and asking the Lord to give us wisdom in our decision-making.

The doctors have given us the go ahead to leave the country for Kamillia and we believe that that is a good move for us.

Here is what the next season looks like for the Havertape family:

The kids and I will be flying back to Russia on May 10^th and praise the Lord for his provision. In August we will have been in Russia for eight years. Our visas have another 16 months before expiring and we are asking the Lord if he would have us renew them again. Please pray with us! During this next season there will be students graduating from the bible college and we are so excited to have had the opportunity to serve the Lord in this way. If the Lord leads us not to renew our visas that would mean that we will have to hand the bible college over to a Russian.

Roman Usmonov has agreed to take on the role of the director of the bible college and Jason will be spending the next several months raising him up.

So we ask that you will continue to pray for us and support us with your encouragement and financial gifts as we continue God’s work and watch the Russian nationals rise up and take over more of each ministry there. There is very few Americans left in Russia. Most of the ministries there are now run by Nationals, Praise the LORD!! So this will be one more ministry that will be given over to them, this is always so exciting!

Prayer needs:

1.) Please pray for the kids and I, as we are packing and getting ready to go.

2.) Please pray for the next season of goodbyes and wrapping up and the emotions that are involved in that.

3.) Please pray for the new director and his wife that the Lord will bless them and provide for their every need!

Praises:

1.) Praise God that in eight days we will leave to be reunited with Jason.

2.) Praise God that we were blessed with a great deal on a storage unit to store all the wonderful things that people blessed us with while we were in America, so that our reentry to the USA will be easier in 6 months to a year.

3.) Praise God for our family. They have said many goodbyes to us, and yet they remain so supportive!

Mission Monday with the Havertapes

To our dear friends, family, prayer warriors and co- laborers,

In order to better our communication with all of you we want to inform you that the newsletters that we e-mail out will beevery six weeks. However, we want you to know what is happening with the ministry and our family so we will be giving you a brief update with “Mission Monday with the Havertapes.” This will include something from the week, prayer requests and praise reports.

We want to thank all of you for your faithful support over the last many years that we have been on the mission field, especially through these very difficult economic times. We thank the Lord for His faithfulness through the body of Christ. Thank you so much!!

This last week Kamillia had a procedure scheduled and it was cancelled. She had an ear infection and a high fever, therefore they could not put her under. When speaking with the doctor after the cancellation she was very confident that Kamillia is doing fine. That she should finish out her 9 month medication for preventative purposes and then if she has any more symptoms that we should check her again. Right now all of her tests have come back perfectly normal. The doctor is confident that we can leave the country if we would like to.

Jason left for Russia on April 8^th. He is working on the College right now. We want to thank you for all your prayers for the college because there are some great things taking place with the college. The students are growing and relationships are developing.

We are working to get our family reunited. Please pray with us over theses things:

1.) Jonathan’s passport is in the Russian Consulate and should have a visa by the end of the week.

2.) We are attempting to find the best deal on tickets.

3.) We are praying that God’s will be done in all these things.

We will send you another update next Monday with any news!

2.) For SKYPE so we can communicate with Jason while he is in Russia.

3.) For family in America and their support to us.

Today is day #13 in America.

It has been an interesting 13 days here in USA. I am so greatful that I have been redeemed and i am a new creation. The Lord is holding me and through all trials He will see me through any hard time in my life.
Watching my brother-in-law and his wife go through this trial of their daughter in the hospital has probably been one of the hardest things that I have watched in my life.

It has been a very improtant thing for my walk with Jesus Christ. This trial has already taught me that the Lord is faithful no matter the circumstances and that He loves us in a way that we cannot even imagine.
As a I walked into little Eowyn's room the very first time and I saw this little 10 pound body laying there. I wanted to cry and the Lord held my tears back, her parents had seen and done enough crying, I walked up to her and began to speak to her. She opened her littel eyes. And looked up at me. I said to her, "It is so nice to meet you." she is so beautiful and it is so hard to understnad why this happening.

Then just a few days ago i went to dinner with her mommy, Autum. She is an amazing woman. she sat across from me and said some incredible and profund statements. she said the Lord is doing a work and I do not want to be selfish, let His will be done! I was so blessed. Thank you Lord that you are faithful and you have a purpose in our lives and that you are working a beautfiul work in us through difficult times.

Missing you

We sent out our newsletter recently and hopefully you enjoyed reading it. If you do not receive it then please send me your email and I will send you a copy of it!

We are doing really well. It has been getting better and better as far as our ministry and adjustment to a new city goes! Praise the Lord for all his help in adjusting to a new life here in Vladimir.

It is hard to say goodbye to Kolchugino but the Lord is faithful and has great plans for the people in the city in Kolchugino and the church there. At the end of September a Russian couple will move there to Pastor the church.

We have started home school and have been learning about the book of Genesis in depth with the kids. It has been such a great start to school this year I am so blessed to see all the connections between God's word and the history that we are studying. The kids are quoting scripture and learning how the bible can apply to their lives even in the first and second grade Jonathan has started to read I was worried there because he was getting the least amount of attention in that area! But he is starting to get it, Praise the Lord!

We are missing home! It is coming up on one year since we returned. We arrived back in Russia on November 3rd, 2009. We received our three -year visa and then moved to Vladimir on December 15th. It has been go, go, go since our move and the start of the Bible College, as well as continuing to travel to Kolchugino twice a week to teach the services there. So we are misisng our dear loved ones in the USA. So hello to all of our Grandparents, parents, siblings, Cousins, nieces and nephews and so on. We miss you guys!

We talked about possibly coming back to the USA for the holidays. However, this would mean separating our family and having to raise quite a bit of funds around the holiday season! So we have decided that at the end of the Spring semester we will come to spend the summer in the US with our family and friends. We will be misisng you until then!!! We wish we could make the trip more than once, but financially it will not work!

What is going on with us!

Hello to all it has been awhile since I have sent out an update. We are doing okay beside a virus that is going around right now! Jonny is the first to get it but I am sure it will be passed around. Please pray for him he has a high temp of 103.

Well we started school! Joshua is in the second grade and Mickey the first grade! I cannot believe it. It is a bit slow starting but I guess that is a blessing with home school!

The fires here in Russia have died down a bit, we still have some smoke but it is definitely not as thick as it has been the last few weeks. The summer heat wave was crazy! It was in the 90's and super humid. But we made it through it! It only became difficult when we had the smoke because there was no air conditioning so we had to open our windows and then we were breathing the smoke. We were trying to be creative but you can only do so much! So that is improving. Please pray for the thousands who have lost their homes here in Russia. The rainy season is coming and by October it will be pretty chilly already. Pray for them please! Also for those who have lost their loved ones in these fires pray that the churches will reach out and people will know Jesus through this tragedy! Today is our first cool day, it dropped to the 70's today so praise the Lord for that!

Next Tuesday, the 24th, the Bible College will begin. Last semester we had one official student. This semester we have three, more than doubled! We are excited to see that the Lord is working out all the details for each semester. It has been a learning experience for us with paperwork and how it all works, but the Lord is bringing Jason through this time. PLease pray for this next semester! Praise the Lord for what he is doing!

Also, we have been praying for the last two years for a Russian to come and pastor the church in Kolchugino. Well at the end of September their will be a couple that will move to Kolchugino and take over the church. We are excited that the Lord has provided, but it also is difficult to let go of the ministry there. Thank you for all your prayers. This will make doing the Bible College a little easier as we will not have to travel to Kolchugino twice a week come October. Please be praying for this transition. The church in Kolchguino is growing and people who used to come have begun to come again. The last few weeks we have had 30 people at the church!! Iwill do a seperate entry on this couple with their photo so you can hear more of their story on how the Lord has lead them to Kolchugino.

Please continue to pray for our need for a vehicle! Thank you to all of those who faithfully support the ministry so we can be on the missions field. And to those who support Victoria so she can serve in the hospitals and teach the women about the effects of abortion!

ON August 21st- we have our 7 year anniversary in Russia!! Thank you Lord for your faithfulness!

We MISS YOU!!!!

Natasha is here from Africa we are so excited to visit with her!

It has been awhile I am so bad at this blog thing.... however school is closing out and perhaps I will have some more time to update all of you. We are doing okay... kids have been sick the last week. They are growing like crazy!!! We also have a young man named Misha living with us. He is 19 and we are trying to help him get up on his feet. We are closing out some ministries here right now. Kolchugino is going well we are just going to be loosing the flat that we meet in by the end of June. Then we will see if the people want to open their own homes to still gather or not! It is in the Lord's hands. Also, the first semester of Calvary Chapel Bible College Vladimir is coming to an end it will finish on May 22 (Jason's B-day!) It has gone well and we have learned a lot through this time. Please keep praying for our family.

A month and a half has gone by.... we are still adjusting to our new life in Vladimir but God is faithful each step of the way. This Mama has been tired and overwhelmed but Iam moving along and learning how to adjust and how to keep myself in the works that the Lord prepares for me only and not all the stuff I THINK I should be doing!!!
Kids are good school is busy! They are growing so fast. We celebrated Jonny's 4th birthday, he is 4 I cannot believe it! We are having a very cold winter and trying to keep warm.... Please remember to pray for the Havertapes!

We have been battling with sickness way too long! It is the move, the stress, the change of weather. It si again -3 degrees F today so it dropped again. This week the kids all had a sore throat, really red. Then Mom got soem sort of throwing up bug and Josh got it too. So we are still just trying to adjust. The kids and Mom satyed home this weekend form Kolchugino. Jason still traveled there and will be home later this evening. We are blessed but busy. last night I , Britny, was up studying the Word. i was contemplating on our busy world. How Satan uses our business to distrct us. How it is important to be serving the Lord and at the same time knowing exactly what He wants us to be doing. Pray about this as the new year begins and ask the Lord to help you prioritze what is important to Him.

We got an apartment

Well, we have secured an apartment in Vladimir. We will be moving there in just a few weeks. We found a great flat, in a great location for a decent price! So thank you for your prayers and encouragements through this time. We have been traveling to Vladimir three times already this week and have to go again on Friday. Today we received the stamp in our passport for the three year permisison to live in Russia. On Friday we have to seal it with the registration and address of where we will live. Then the process will be complete. We will have until September 28th, 2012 to serve in Russia and then we will see what the Lord does. We are blessed to see His hand in our lives and to see what the Lord is doing both in us, in those around us and in our children. Please pray for the next few weeks, as we pack up and leave and fight sickness at the same time.

Memories from this trip to the USA

Well we have been here in Russia for just a couple of days... so I want to take the time to write down some memories that we had this trip in America. It was a great trip. We had a lot of time with family which is always such a belssing! I am so blessed personally to have had a get-away with my mom. We went camping in her trailer for a few days and it was so neat to realx and just have some time together. Thanks MOM! We also got to see the boys have a great time with Autum and Caleb's kids on a daily basis. CJ is so aware of what is happening and I think this transition will be hard for him. It is already hard on my chldren. Also I think that Joshua and Rory played very well this trip together. They are growing up and so the way they play is become a bit more advanced!! Also Jonny and Aubrey are so funny together they have a blast I think they have a ton of energy and I do not know if when you put them together they level each other out or if it is just an explosion! Anyway, we had a great time with all of you and will miss you lots. The kids dug up Grandpa George's yard, sorry :( However, I know Grandma Mickey enjoyed every minute of watching those children dig away and add some water here and there and cover themselves in the mud. How about the tree swing we made, or the fort the kids created... the list goes on. What about the day Rory came out for a visit and the kids played house in the trailer. They decorated it made placemats and played mommy, Daddy, babies, dogs, cats. It was great. All the swimming, the building, the laughing, the crying, the character building, CJ and Jonny fighting and then loving each other, grandma Mickey worrying all the time about the kids, and grandma Rozzy sticking up for them, George walking in shaking his head to find the kids in his yard covered in mud and Jubel the dog amongst it all. It was the best of times and great memories for all of us. Thank you for all of you being involved in our lives! We love you.

Homeschool.... first quarter reflections

Hello all.... Well the Havertape Family is doing well. We finished our first quarter of school. Joshua is in the first grade and Kamillia is in Kindergarten. It is amazing how much they can learn in just 9 weeks. We have had many challenging moments but the Lord is teaching us all. First grade's work load is of course is more than Kindergarten was so I am trying to adjust to that. So, at the moment Joshua's two favorite subjects are history and Science. I love the program that I am using and of course we incorporate our everyday lives. There were some days with some big challenges, I would go in my room and pray and sometimes cry and I realized why it is so much easier to send your child to school rather than teach them at home! I am so blessed though that I can have them at home with me and teach them, it is just learning to be flexible and bend my "program" to meet their personality, character and styles of learning!

Joshua is reading so well and I am so excited about that, and Mickey is my artist she loves to turn everything we do into an art project. Also my awesome hubby has taken on helping me a bit with school as well. He is the math teacher. The kids are actually loving math becuase it is so special that their Dad is teaching them. So we are now ready to refresh ourselves (and sleep in a little) for a couple of weeks and then we will start up our second quarter.

Josh asked me, "Mom why can't I go with the kids to school here in Russia? Is it because I am American I am not allowed?"
I answered and said, "No, you are allowed to attend the school here, but Mommy and Daddy have decided that she wants to study at home with her."
"Why MOM? I want to go with the other kids." he said.
I answered, "There are many reasons, but what if you were away from us all day. You went to the school and we were here all day and then you came home. You would be with a different lady as your teacher, and different people all day away from all fo us who love you so much , I would miss you!"
He thought for a moment and then responded, "Well, Mom I would miss you too and Mickey and Jonny, maybe you could be my teacher there just come with me and you can teach me there."

It is so great to hear how their minds work! I am so blessed to be a mom and be able to teach my children at home. More countries in Europe have now outlawed Homeschooling, so why you are free to home school your children take advantage of it and teach them the ways of the Lord!!!!

Good Morning!

We hope that all is well with you in the States or wherever you might be right now. We are all healthy still thank you for all of your prayers. Many people around us are ill at the moment so please continue to pray for our health.

Well, first things first, we still do not know if our documents will be ready by the time our visas expire on the 8th of September. Please continue to pray for this process and that all will be complete in God's timing. We already know that we have the residency it is just a matter of the stamp in our passport from the government. We will call again next week probably on the third. At that point we will decide what we are doing. If the documents are not ready by the 7th then we will fly out to California on our return ticket which had already been booked on the 8th. Please please pray for us over the next week as this is a critical step. If we return back to the States once again there is money involved and so on. So, please pray for the leaders here, the administration in Vladimir and the woman processing our paperwork her name is Katya Bachova.

Next, today Anya reutrns to the hospital in Vladimir for her next two week treatment of Chemotherapy. Please pray for her body. She is getting weaker. She is tired and worn out often as her body is battling this cancer. Please pray that she will continue to walk with the Lord and grow as she has been. Thank you for all your prayers for her and your encouragement to her.

Victoria, the women who visits the hospitals and ministers to the women and speaks out against abortion is doing okay. She has had a very difficult summer with the entrance of her daughter's father back into their lives. Her daughter is 14 and he now wants to be a part of their lives but is causing much pain to them. Please pray for them, for wisdom and for a clear mind. There are many emotions and it is easy to have a clouded perspective through our emotions. She will be coming to San Diego, California for a two week trip in September. She will be working with a ministry there that supports her to do the work here in Russia. Please pray for her time that she will be refreshed and the Lord will also speak into her situation here while she is seperated from it. Please also pray that the door will remain open in the Hospital as many women each week hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well as offered hope in many hopeless sitautions.

This week we will have a vidoe outreach in our home for our neighbors. Please continue to pray for this that many will be open to hearing the Gospel and be set free from the slavery of sin! We continue to speak with people on the streets and continue to ask the Lord for opportunity to share with others all around us, please pray for people who are open and ready to hear the Words of Jesus to meet up with us!

I have been studying through the minor prophets and I have been so blessed by God's faithfulness amongst an unfaithful people! I wanted to share with you the encouragement that the Lord gave to me. In the past six years that we have been ministering in Russia and the five years in Kolchugino many people have heard the Gospel and many people have walked through our door and even sat under the Word for a period of time only to leave. However, the Lord is not through with them not unitl death comes to them. So in the last three months we have seen great fruit of the faithfulness of God and how He uses us through that and our prayers. Marina whom we have known for four years and put a lot of time, finances and love into has now seen for herself the faithfulnees of Jesus in her own life and is choosing to walk with him. She lives 1.5 hours walk from us, but walks to come to services and to have fellowship with us, or on a difficult day comes to find encouragement! Praise be to Jesus. Also we have seen youth who have walked away and lived in the world decide to follow the Lord.

My question to all of us, have we gone astray like Gomer the wife of Hosea and decide to walk in Spiritual Harlotry against the God of Heaven and Earth? The God who created all things, time and space? He is chasing us and has bought you back for himself so that he can be a loving husband who cares for you all the days of your life.

Just a thought to ponder on for awhile and to really put it all into perspective!

Today we spent the day at Nina's house. She has a large yard with a big garden. We went there and had a great lunch all cooked from her garden from things that she has grown. She made us soup and fried up potatoes. We had fresh cucumbers. Then she brought out the tea with bread, butter and her raspberry jam. It was a blast. the kids played in the sand and helped to pick carrots and dig up the potatoes. Then they also collected berries, raspberries, blackberries and so on. Then Nina's daughter showed up with her four children. They played another two hours with the kids. It was a beautiful day of fellowship and fun. Enjoy the pictures.

We have been super busy since we arrived back in Russia, but blessed. It has been a bit draining for me personally but I guess that is the way it goes, right? Kamillia turned five this month it I cannot believe it it is the month of b-days! My sis also had a birthday and so did her daughter. My brother is right around the corner as well. Well, Ihave been swamped while we have been in America. We are soon headed back to Russia on June 16th and enjoying our last few weeks with our family. Please pray that we will use our time wisely. We have had a great time in America full of a busy schedule, but have enjoyed our time visiting other churches. It is really neat to see others in thier ministry that the Lord has called them to. Lord bless all of them. It was such a blast to go to Idaho and Oregon and see people we have not seen in years. We were so blessed! Thank you for all your prayers and support to our family.

Weekly Havertape Update

I am so sorry that we did not write last week, but to say the least it was a very crazy week! We are now preparing to return to the States on Monday, the 13th. So this is a crazy week too, but I wanted to send you a little update and tell you thanks for praying!

Last week we went again twice to try to get all of our paperwork sorted out in Vladimir. We we got to the final step the women looked over all of our documents for one hour. She checked every detail.

She came out of her office where we were waiting and gave us the news. She told us that our FBI reports had to be redone because they were old. So we are returning to the States with our new fingerprints in hand, that we did in Moscow on Monday. We will be mailing them back to the FBI and then to have the apostille seal. Please pray this will be a speedy process.

The woman told us that we have five places in the quota until the end of the year so however long it takes us to get our paperwork back to her is fine. It is just a matter of working out all the kinks. After the paperwork is turned into her then it will take up to six months from that date to receive the stamp in our passport that we have permission to be in Russia for three years. PRAISE THE LORD!

As I said we will be returning on the 13th of April, our visas are up and we have a return flight. We will spending time with family and saying goodbye again and this time we do not know for how long within that three year time period. Please pray that our time would be used wisely.

We will also need to raise a lot of funding while we are in the States as well. You can be praying for these needs:

1.) Return tickets. ($3,500- $4,500)
2.) To renew our visas during the six month waiting period ($3,000 each time)
3.) We need to raise our monthly support $1,000 more each month. We are so great full for the supporters we have now and their faithfulness! We know that the Lord will provide.
4.) We have seen the need for a car especially if we will be traveling between Kolchugino and Vladimir for both ministries. (This will cost anywhere from $10,000- $15,000)

Please be praying for these needs, and pray for us that our trust will be in Jesus and His plan for us and not the burden of finances.

I am home... wheww! I went to Vladimir today to meet Jason there. He stayed overnight there because he taught his last class on the book of Daniel Sunday night and then I met him this morning to go to the immigration office to turn in our paperwork. I know that many of you have been in prayer for us regarding our paperwork and we appreciate it. We know that God has a perfect plan and we have been praying, fasting and begging Him to make that clear to us. Our desire is to walk in His plan for our family.

Our good friend Pasha drove us to the office and also came as an interpreter for us. We so appreciate all of his help and sacrifice of his time during this process.

We went to the office and waited for awhile because there was a line today. We went in the office and the head of the department of the immigration office is the one we had to go back to. He asked a woman if she had looked over our paperwork and she said yes everything is fine, that our paperwork was suitable. The he checked if we changed our registration to Vladimir like he had asked, and then he signed the papers that we could be granted this Residency.

It was such a miracle! We are so excited. There is one more step in the process though. The first step was the main hurdle to jump, this is usually where they deny you. We will go to a place called, "Passport Desk" on Wednesday. This is where they process the paperwork, so they will look over all of our documents and make sure that everything is legit and this office will be the one who will in the end grant us the stamp in our passport.
We also found out today that for Americans this process is 6 months not 50 days. So we are now deciding on our plans for the in between time. Please pray for us and for finances. Also please remember to pray for these people who will be processing our paperwork over the next six months, that everything will fall in line with God's will.

Today was a great victory a miracle and we praise God for what He is doing. He holds all things in His hands and He can open doors. However, today brought some sad news to us also that we want to ask you to pray for.
1.) We met with a girl who used to go to our church and she is obviously not walking with Jesus and wanted to make that clear for us. She served with us and was very active in the church, the world has sucked her in and that was very sad to see.
2.) There is another girl in our church named Anya. She is 22 years old. She has been having some strange symptoms in her body now for about 9 months. She has just declined very rapidly the last three weeks. She has had several blood tests done and was given some results today. They do not know what is wrong with her exactly, but she has something going on with her lymphnoids and now they will send her to an oncologist on Wednesday in Vladimir. Please pray for her. I will try to go with her on Wednesday.
3.) Also with this news about our dear friend Anya and with all the drama with our young people in the church it is hard to think that we will leave them again for a few months. Please pray for wisdom and peace in whatever direction God gives us. We love these people and it is hard to leave for months at a time.

The Documents!!!

The Havertape family is back in Kolchugino!
We left for the city of Vladimir on Sunday evening it is now Tuesday at 3:00 in the afternoon. It has been a very long couple of days with stress, emotions and lack of sleep. However, in these moments is when our trust in Jesus is so important both for ourselves and for those around us as well. We want to tell you what you happened in Vladimir when we turned in our papers for Temporary Residency (THE THREE YEAR VISA WE HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR).

On Monday at 12:45 we went to the office for immigration in Vladimir. At this office we were welcomed to our appointment with surprisingly kind faces! The director decided that only one of us would go into the interview with all the documents. Jason went into the room with an interpreter. The person who interviewed him was the Chief man for the entire Vladimir region. This is the man that decides if you make it in the quota or not. They were in the office for about ten minutes. Jason came out of the room with all his documents still in his hand, my heart dropped. When we went out of the office Jason explained. The man will accept our papers but we have a few minor details that we must change. Just have to retype a couple things on our application, change our registration documents and have a couple papers notarized. The chief man said that he will grant us the residency, if we come back next Monday with all the proper documentation. They said all our documents look great they are in order just a few minor details. The really cool thing is we made it in the quota. It is full. They set appointments until the quota was met and then they stopped setting appointments, therefore we had an appointment so we made it in the quota! There are only 1,500 places for the entire Vladimir Region this includes many cities, Kolchugino is one of those cities. We told you in past letters that if we are granted this residency then it will be a miracle. Please pray over the next week. On Monday the 30th Jason will return to Vladimir and turn in the paperwork again with the corrections and the other notarized documents. Please pray for this!

Here is the plan: We will turn in the documents next Monday at 2:00. The we must take the documents signed by the Chief and go to another office and have them process the documents for our passports, this process before took six months, they have changed it to take only 50 days now.

Therefore our plan for America will have to change a bit. We will need to be back in Russia by May 18th to receive our documents. Jason will be checking on Monday if we can receive them after the 50 day mark, if we desire, so perhaps we can stay in America a little bit longer to close up some business( apartment, home school etc) and to also spend some time with our wonderful family and friends (I Love you MOM). But May 18th 2009 will mark the beginning of the three year visa.

So, with all that said we beg you to continue to pray for us and for this miracle to take place if it is God's will. Anything can happen this week, and anyone in these offices can change their minds. So, we all know that the Lord holds everything in His hands so let us pray fro these leaders.
1.) Pray that they will have a fear of God.
2.) Pray that they will not have a prejudice of foreigners.
3.) Pray that their hands would be guided by the Lord and all paperwork would pass through their hands as the Lord sees fit.

PRAISE GOD FOR THIS GREAT VICTORY THIS WEEK! WE WILL UPDATE YOU AGAIN NEXT MONDAY OR TUESDAY!

Joshua turned six on March fifth. I cannot believe that I am a mother of a six year old but I am. he is so big and so independent already. He is learning how to play chess and is doing great in school. He is also amazing at how fast he gets soaking wet outside in the snow!! HAHA. He is a blessing and we are so happy that God gave him to us. Please continue to pray for him as he grows. He misses everyone in the states and wished that everyone could be with him on his birthday. He even learned how to cross country ski the other day.

Well I thought I might spend the time to give you an update on each one of the kidos. First I will do the update on our daughter. Kamillia has been changing a lot lately. She is such a little sunshine. She loves and cares for those around her. She is a blessing. We looked up on the internet together what the flower, camillia looks like -and this is the flower right here. She exclaimed "it is even pink mom." She is definitely a fan of pink. She is growing way too fast, I decided. We are trying to enjoy each other each new day. She is learning to help Mom cook in the kitchen and is very interested in it. She is also becoming quite the little artist. She loves people and has such a sensitive heart. When we see people outside that need Jesus she sincerely hurts for them. I am learning that a daughter is extremely special and there are many tender moments together. Please pray for her that she will grow into a woman that stands for Jesus and lives for the Lord in the midst of a dark and ugly world. She is named after her Great- Grandmothers, however the meaning of her name is Warrior and Shinning Light. We pray that she will be a warrior for the Light of the world that is shinning.

Another week has passed. We have now been back in Russia for four weeks. Time has flown by! We have been very busy- but a good kind of busy. I hope that you are enjoying our updates and you feel more apart of our lives and the ministry here in Russia. Well, we have a lot to update you on this week.

On Tuesday we went to Vladimir and had all of our testing done. We started at 8am and we finished with the last hospital at 4pm. It was a very long day with lots of travel, but the testing is finished! We went to four different hospitals and had many tests done. Thank you for your prayers. It is an interesting system here and not the friendliest so we encountered many challenges but of course our God is faithful. For one of our tests we had to go to the hospital for people with tuberculosis. We spent our time there praying for the Lord’s protection for our family. We all needed to be tested and so we all had to enter the hospital. This is where the people with tuberculosis come to be treated so we were surrounded by the disease. We appreciated your prayers and we can see the Lord’s hand in all.

We have turned in all of our English documents (birth certificates, marriage certificate and FBI report) to an interpreter. The documents are being translated to Russian and being sent to a notary. We are also working on the document for the Landlord, that we have permission to live here for three years.

Once all this is complete on the 23^rd of March we will turning all of our documents and apply for the residency. All of this has been a very costly process for us. Please be praying over the next few weeks that all will work out in His way!

Another update has to do with our ministry in the hospitals. Vika goes to the hospitals several days a week to minister to the women who are waiting to have an abortion. She has been having some issues with the Orthodox Church coming in and trying to overtake this from her. She was confronted by some women a few weeks back telling her she has no right to be in the hospitals if the Priest does not grant her permission. She has been praying and asking the Lord for wisdom. This last week another woman from the Orthodox Church came also to minister to the women who are waiting to have an abortion. Vika said that she was a good woman with a large family and her order in the family was correct, but what she shared with the other women had all to do with condemnation and law and nothing was done in love. She asks for prayer as to how to work with these women that are coming and that she will continue to stand strong in her faith and not compromise that in any way. Please join us in this prayer. On an exciting note, the director of the hospital came to Vika this week and asked her for her telephone number. She said that the director of a school here in the city came to the hospital and asked specifically about Vika and wants her to come in the school and do a seminar for the teens. We have been praying about this for two years and we see the possibility of the Lord opening that door right now. Thank you for all your prayers for this very difficult ministry.

On a lighter note this week we enjoyed Joshua’s sixth birthday. We cannot believe that we now have a six year old. He is getting so big! Please continue to pray for us as parents and for him that he will grow to be a Godly man who chooses to walk in righteousness.

Mickey's Hair Cut!!!

Well, Mickey has been asking to have her hair cut like her cousin Rory's. The problem is they have such different hair. Rory has very thick hair and Mickey has more fine hair and curly. Well, I compromised with her and cut it to her shoulders. She is so excited. I told her that I think Rory is growing hers out so by the time they see each other again maybe they will have the same length hair. I was afraid of loosing the curl but I think it will be ok. So here are some pictures!!!

Making Bread

Kamillia and Mommy made the yummiest bread the other day. I thought well we do not have a bread maker but I might as well try to make bread. It took a few hours after all the rising and the kneading(the baking is the fast part) But we had some fun doing it. Mickey loved it, she keeps asking when will we do it again and Jason and and Josh keep asking also because they want to eat it again.

Weekly Update

Is anyone else in awe that February is over! I cannot believe that we are already heading into the third month of the year 2009. We had a much better week this week. We have all pretty much recovered from the flu that we were suffering from. It was a bad one! We celebrated Victoria’s 46^th birthday all together on Sunday. It was a special time and we were so blessed that we were here for it! On Sunday night Jason again traveled to Vladimir and slept there. He travels 2 hours by bus shows up at 6pm when the class begins and immediately teaches from the book of Daniel, then he sleeps in Vladimir and travels back to Kolchugino on the 7:05 am bus. He gets home in time to sit down for breakfast with us. Monday is our day of rest, so we spent this last Monday literally resting! We are so glad we did, it helped in our recouping process.

Tuesday morning began our very busy week. We visited some people in the church this week that also came down with the flu and we also were able to go back out in the snow again! The kids were happy about that, and so was I because they were beginning to be rather hyper indoors. Yulia our interpreter and native missionary also helped us a lot last week and this week. She is such a blessing and always available and willing to serve. Please pray for her as she is now coming down with the same flu.

Tomorrow Jason and I will travel to Vladimir to have a day of fellowship with the other Pastors and wives. We will go to a village house, where they have a banya. A banya is kind of like a sauna. It is a Russian thing. The men will go to banya and the women will prepare food and fellowship. Please pray for this time that it will be a time of sweet fellowship and encouraging one another. We will be leaving the kids all day with a sitter so pray for her as well.

Sunday will go as usual. We will also be celebrating Joshua’s birthday very soon- he will be 6 years old WOW! Then this next week we will need some prayer, we will begin more of the process for residency. Please see the following prayer needs:

1.) Please pray that we will be able to complete all the medical testing this week.

2.) Please pray that the Lord will give us clarity about the landlord and documentation that needs to be done.

3.) Please pray fro our health to continue to get stronger, especially Mickey.

Praise Reports:

1.) Praise God for the remembrance of the Russian language. We appreciate all your prayers the kids are doing great, they have remembered most of their Russian and are regaining confidence.

2.) Praise God for the restoration of our health.

3.) Praise God that the weather has been decent the whole time we have been here.

Weekly Update- February 20th, 2009

Another week is coming to a close! This was a very crazy week, but still a good one. Last week, I had the privilege to go to the women’s conference in Moscow. It was a lot of traveling but a great time! The Word was taught and that is always refreshing and the best place to be! The theme was “Blessed” and we went through Psalm 1. I was also blessed in a workshop about children. The theme was joy in our parenting! She reminded us that if we do not have joy when we parent and when we work in our homes then why would our kids follow Christ that we proclaim is our strength through His Joy? It was a great reminder and refresher course! I met Jason in Vladimir on Sunday afternoon. We had the great opportunity to fellowship with our friends Pasha and Lena Baronov. We slept at their house and on Sunday after he taught in Vladimir and on Monday we were able to go and visit Natasha’s parents (Natasha who is in America right now training with FRM). They served us a great lunch and we had a sweet time of fellowship.

Then we came back to Kolchugino Monday afternoon and were hit with the flu. Jonathan, Mickey and Jason have been in bed with high temperatures, up to 105. Jason pulled himself out of bed to teach last night’s service and he is half up today working for his Sunday services. I have not been hit with it completely yet, but my throat is sore and a cough is surfacing!

On a good note, Jonathan has not had any reactions here yet. We have been watching his diet and I have been creative in preparing food. Mickey and I learned how to bake bread from scratch and we found rye flour! So we are adjusting back into the life here. It is so interesting to me how even the mindset of the children changes when we walked through the door here. They griped about soup in California but love it here, they did not want to read a lot there but here we have made it through three chapter books this week and finished school on Thursday not Friday. Thank you Jesus for even calming the hearts of the children as we step out in faith into what we believe is your plan. We pray you enjoyed the newsletter last week and we hope that you are blessed in your walk with Jesus!

The jet Lag is finally gone!!!

We are finally over our jet lag! Yeah that is so exciting, it is so hard to get your everyday responsibilities completed when all you can think about is sleep! On Saturday I, Britny, get to go to an all day conference in Moscow with Debi Bryson! They have one each year but this year it was cut to just a day because of finances. Praise the Lord that there will be one at all. Please pray for us. We will travel from Kolchugino at 4 am by bus to Moscow. It is a three hour drive by bus. Then we will get on the metro to a train station then on a train for 40 minutes to go outside of Moscow, then we will have to get off of the train and take the metro again and find our spot. Please pray for us and for the weather to not be too cold. We are five traveling from Kolchugino and we will meet up with the girls from Alexandrov at the bus station in Moscow so there will be about 9 or 10 of us making our way to the conference from the bus station. Then we will spend the night in Moscow and make our way back on Sunday. So keep this time in prayer. I am excited to go and have fellowship with so many women that I have met at these conferences in the past! Please pray that our girls will be refreshed and renewed by the Word given there and the fellowship they partake in.

Well, our baby is three I cannot believe it! We had dinner with some friends and a cake less birthday party. The poor guy he cannot have sugar so there were no sweets at his birthday, but I guess in the end it is better for all of us. We love you all and hope you enjoy the picture of our strong man!!

Today was a great day! We had our first Sunday service back and it was so sweet to see all of our lovely friends. The people just all left and it is 8:45 Pm. Alissa took the kids outside and they played in the snow for 2.5 hours. They were soaking wet and freezing when they came home, but asleep in 5 minutes when I put them in their bed 10 minutes ago. Our friends Peter and Sveta came over this evening to say hi and we got to see Liza, whom many of you prayed for when she was a baby. She is two years old now and such a cutie. Her and Mickey dressed up as princesses and had a great time. Here are some pictures!

Weekly update - February 7th,2009

Well, we cannot believe that it is the end of the week. This has been a very exciting week. From our last Sunday at Calvary Chapel Valle Vista until this moment where Jason is in his office preparing for the Sunday service here in Russia. There have been a lot of events this week, but God is faithful. We watched His hand over us as we traveled to LAX and we met our friend Darren there that works at LAX. He took our bags for us and did the whole process of security for us relieving stress. Then they seated us first on the plane because we had children. They gave us three whole rows and then the kids were super good and obedient to us- Praise the Lord! Then they slept from 6-8 hours. It was incredible. The only downfall was leaving the airplane. I know that sounds funny, but we packed all of our boots and jackets in a duffel bag and checked them on so we would not have a ton of stuff to carry on the airplane. Well, when we landed at Moscow airport they transported us by bus to the terminal. So we had to leave the airplane in minus 10 degree weather with sweatshirts on and tennis shoes. We were worried about the kids, but once again the Lord took care of us. We are not sick as of yet. Our friend from Vladimir picked us up in a very comfortable car that held all of our luggage as well. We had great fellowship and a very safe drive home. The roads were not slippery and there was no snowfall while we drove. It was awesome. Then we were greeted by Vika, Alissa and Yulia at our apartment. We have been blessed by company and help the last few days; it is great to be back. The kids have gone out everyday to play in the snow they are enjoying it, at least for now. We had a service on Thursday evening and it was so great to see people that we have dearly missed and they missed us as well. Jason will begin teaching in Vladimir week. He will teach on Sunday Nights through the book of Daniel. So each Sunday he will travel from Kolchugino to Vladimir (about 2 hours) at 4:35 by bus and spend the night in Vladimir. Thank you for all your prayers for our family and for Kolchugino! J

We have a few prayer points for you to keep in mind for this next week.

1.) Please pray for our service tomorrow that it will be a blessing.

2.) Please pray that we will get over our jet lag(it is definitely lingering this time)

3.) Please pray for Jason's travel to Vladimir on the snowy roads, and for the service that the people will come and be blessed by the Word.

4.) Please pray for the abortion ministry, it is a hard time right now in the hospital and the doctors are growing colder to Victoria.

5.) Please pray for our financial support and our time when we return to the States in April to raise money that the Lord will begin now to prepare the hearts of those who will give.

**We have specific needs if we will return on the three year residency. We need to purchase a car to travel between cities for the Bible College and other ministries; we will also need to rent a flat in Vladimir which will be more expensive.

6.) Please continue to pray for a Russian pastor for the church in Kolchugino; to raise $350.00 each month to support him to live in Kolchugino.

I cannot believe how awful I am at keeping up on this thing! I know we all have our areas that we need to grow in! Well I guess blogging is on my list! Well, a lot has been happening with the Havertape family. We have been super busy like everyone else in the world. We have been busy with school and church and hanging out with all of our wonderful family and friends. We also have been busy on our knees. We know that the Lord called us to be missionaries so we have been asking the Lord, "How much do we settle back in here? Are you going to send us back out?" It has been an interesting journey these last five months here in southern California. But one we would not trade. God has been breaking us, bending us, shaping us and molding us (a never ending process I am told!). Have you ever seen the Potter and the Clay demonstartion? Well, there is a part in the demo where the potter takes the clay and throws it on the ground over and over agin in order to get the air out of it, at times this is how we have felt. The best part about it is we know we are still in His hands! I am praying that we just respond the right way to His prompting. Well, in our time of prayer and seeking out the Lord's will for us, we have had several opportunities. We have had the opprtunity to serve just about anywhere that we would please. WOW. But the Lord continued to bring Russia to the forefront of our minds. We cannot get it off of our minds and our hearts. So, we are stepping out in faith and going to serve in Russia once again! We have prepared all the proper documents to go and apply for the residency (like a green card). We will return very soon to submit the paperwork and then begin to work on all the details. Please be praying for us!

Here are the boys! CJ and Jonathan have become so close here in the USA. They enjoy their time together. One day they love each other then the next day they are at war with one another. But they are having a great time!!!PRAISE GOD FOR THIS TIME WITH COUSINS!

I cannot believe it! We, meaning me and the kids, are staying at a beautiful timeshare this entire week. It is so exciting. The place here is gorgeous and so comfy. We are in a huge two bedroom suite and the kids said to me, You mean we get our own home for a whole week! I did not realize how much they notice the need for family to be together. We had our first night and we all slept together because everyone was afraid to be in a new place. But it was great to be with my kidos. The Lord is speaking to me and revealing himself to me more and more-- his character as a father and how I am to be as a parent. This time is a quiet get away for me and Jesus and for me and my kids. Someone donated the timeshare for us and we are blessed and so greatful to her. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes in such a dark world it is hard to distingush the difference between dark and light. It seems to be so difficult for Christians today to stand up and live for what is right. As Tuesday November 4th approaches and we await the destiny of the USA, it is hard not to be angry. It is hard not to look around and weep for those around us, both those that are unsaved and those who claim to be saved but do not act that way. I pray that more believers will stand up for what is right in their lives and stop living the compromised life, live for Jesus in all you do-- EVERYTHING!!! He gave everything for us and then we only want to half-heartedly live for Him. Please examine yourself, as we all need to, in your heart and ask Jesus to show you where you might be compromising today. Let our lights shine bright in this dark dark world!

We have been having so much fun in the warm California sun the last couple weeks. The kids already have leanred to swim pretty well, so it is giving them freedom in the pool, well all except Jonathan! We have been staying up in Hemet and enjoying our cousins CJ, Junior and Jadi , and we have traveled down to Sna Diego to enjoy the other side with Rory,Abi and Aubrey! It is so great to have time with family, not to mention Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles. God is so gracious giving us this time together. Here are some pics of our time together already. I have not taking a lot of pictures of our time in Hemet so I will post some more later.

We are back in America! It is an interesting time for us, we have moved back from Russia and are praying about what is the next step in our lives. We have been back in America now for two weeks! We have been thinking about the different options that we could do. First of all we could return to Russia in Januray and run a Bible College out of Vladimir. Or we could stay in America and serve in the church here. We also could go to another country and do church-planting. The country that we are looking at right now is Thailand. Thailand is a wide open door to the Gospel right now. It is surrounded by countries that are not so open and there are a lot of refugees running to the country and are hopeless. Please pray for God's will to be revealed to us. We want to walk in the works that He has planned for our lives. It is so hard to think of leaving family and friends again, but we know that God has a specific plan for us. There is a map below to help you place Thailand a bit better. Bangladesh and India are to the left on the other side of Burma and to the north of Laos is China. That should give you some borders so you can understand where geographically it is located. Please be praying for us. We do not know where in Thailand we would minister if we went. And really we do not know where we will end up ministering at all. Remeber we are praying about three options right now, 1.) Back to Russia 2.) Thailand or another country to church-plant or 3.) Stay in the States.

The Havertape family is coming back to America! We are leaving in one week's time and will be returning to America on a one-way ticket. We do not know the future at this time. We would like to go back out on the mission field but at this point we are only praying. Please pray for us. The city of Kolchugino awaits a new Pastor, we do not have a person in place yet, we are praying and know that God loves His people and His church here in Kolchugino. We are sad to leave Russia but know that we want to walk in God's will. Pleas pray pray pray! We are sorry that we have not put a lot of pictures up but we have a very slow dial up connection so I will try to do better in the States.

The kids are okay. Jonathan is still ill. They are sad to go. We started school and they are enjoying it. We are blessed, they are great kids and we are so blessed to have them in our care. That the Lord gave them to us is sometimes such a heavy thing to think about, but God is faithful and continues to teach how to be better parents each day. We have been doing some creative writing in school and they are so cute, they have some great stories within them to share. I am so blessed and grateful that I have the opportunity to be a Mom.

Summer Time!

Well we had a marvelous time in America with our family and friends- thank you everyone! We are back now in Russia for three weeks already, and also it is nice to be home and back in our routine. We have all been pretty sick, but we are adjusting to the time and it is great to be around the people here. This Saturday we began our weekly evangelism outreach at the central square of the city, where people gather to just hang out and play. We played Frisbee and soccer and struck up some conversation with a few people. We continue on in our Women's Bible Study- we are now studying the 119th Psalm, WOW what a blessing! We will have a special womens' event on July 4-5th, a sleep over, with lots of fun and another church group will join us! We are very busy and I am sure that as many of you know the summer here goes by so quickly--- then sunshine never lasts long enough in our part of the world. Please pray that we will use our time wisely and fulfill what God has purposed for our summer.

Specific prayer needs:

1.) A little 5 year old boy fell from the second story of a building. he is in ICU.
2.) The pastor's wife of the baptist church in our city passed away. She was only 50 years old but had diabetes really bad. They have six children.
3.) Please pray for our health and all those in our church are battling with health issues right now.

Victoria has been praying for 10 years regarding her problem with her teeth. She hardly had any teeth and many of her teeth had several problems with them. A family gave money to have her teeth repaired. She began this process in November and she just completed this process on Thursday April 3rd. Praise the Lord, Jehovah! He is our Provider! She is so happy and is now trying to adjust to having teeth I never knew it was such a process! Thank you all who have been praying for her and who continue to pray for the Abortion Ministry that Victoria heads up and for those who financially support her ministry as well. Natasha to Africa....

Well, we would like to update you on our dear friend and partner in the ministry here in Russia, Natasha Chilikina. She went to Nairobi, Kenya in February. She came back with confirmation of what the Lord has been doing and how he has been moving in her heart for the past three years. She has had a desire to serve in Africa for several years and never knew what the Lord might have planned for her regarding this. Well, now she is on her way to do just that. She went to Kenya for two weeks on a first trip with Far Reaching Ministries. Now she has to return for what they call a Vision tour. Her desire is to serve in the Sudan and Uganda. So, her vision tour will be two to three months long in those places. Then the third step is a 6 month internship which she will most likely be doing in Nairobi, Kenya with the Calvary Chapel there. Then she can become a full-time missionary with Far Reaching Ministries. Right now she is praying about her financial needs and the organization of it all. Joshy and Mommy are spending some time together during nap time. Now that Josh is five there is no way that he ever wants to sleep in the day! He has an hour of quiet time and then he is ready to do something else. So he and I decided to take some pictures together. A well-needed Update on the family

Well, well well I have no excuses! I have not updated the Blog in who knows how long! We are doing good here. It has been challenging the last few months since the new law came out in Russia regarding visa changes. We have been praying and thinking and discerning the will of God in this situation. Please continue to pray with us.

The kids are doing good! They are growing. Joshua is almost 5 I cannot believe it! He is picking up more and more Russian each day and definitely has a gift for language. He is such a serious kid, but at the same time a lot of fun-- he has to be our most ticklish by far!
Kamillia A.K.A. Mickey is 200 percent girl. She is just so hilarious! I do not even have words to describe her. She is very dramatic and every detail she lets us know about. She is just plain funny. She asked me yesterday, Mom can you go to China tomorrow and buy me a tea set, I hear they have good tea sets there? I do not know where she got that, but she did!
Joanthan is a ham. He has learned how to make others laugh and loves to stand in the middle of the room and just make everyone laugh. He does voices, he sings for us and he will dance as well anything for a good laugh! One thing is for sure I do not have any shy children. They are just such a blessing. Please continue to pray for us as we try to raise them in the ways of the Lord!

Jason is good! He is busy like always but blessed to be serving here in Russia. He is waiting upon the Lord for the right direction to take with our family, what si the next step? He Is waiting to hear clearly form the Lord! Hallelujah! He is teaching three times a week and studying at Calvary chapel Bible College online. So needless to say he is busy.

Me, well, I am good but busy also. My average day is filled with a lot of hand-washing dishes, laundry, cleaning floors and bathrooms.... but what mother does not have a day filled with those things? I find the time to read and play with kids as well as to serve those whoa re in the church body here. I have an extremely blessed life! I have to admit the change of life on the horizon has been a bit stressful for me, but the Lord is doing a new work in me. He is creating more faith, trust, patience and a deeper understanding of following my husband and his leadership! Thank you all for your patience and prayers. We love you.

Well, today was an interesting one. We broke down the tile in the bathroom at the church! There was a serious mold problem at the church. In the winter we did the kitchen remodel and today we worked on the bathroom. There lies a lot of work ahead... but it shuold be interesting as well!

Jason has been gone only four days and we are missing him a lot. I guess you always appreciate someone a little bit more then you did when they are present. I now know how helpful he is. God likes to remind me to have a thankful heart. The last two days have been interesting, all three of our children have had some sort of a bloody wound, Kamillia has an ear infection and a bad cough. We found out yesterday that we have to move again, and by
November first! Then tonight at the Bible study we reviewed Romans
chapter 8 that
Jason taught on Sunday before he left.
We reminded ourselves that the victory is already won, that God is for us
and no one can be against us and that we can have joy in the battle of life
because we know the outcome. What a great reminder for me!
Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness and your patience with all of us.

Well, today we said goodbye to Papa (Jason). It was very difficult for Joshua. He cried for his dad and was said that he was leaving. Jason will be in America for two-weeks. The kids are great, as cute as could be! Jonathan is at an age of testing us, but we have gone through it before and will go through it again. Joshua loves to be on the streets and share the Gospel. He gets out there with his tracts and shares with his firends in Russian. He told some boys the other day that all people are sinners and we must believe in Jesus to go to heaven! He is a true evangelist at the age of four! Kamillia is the best little mother to her dolls, she takes very good care of them and often she thinks her little brother is just an oversized doll for her to mother. We stay busy. Josh is learning to read and we have begun alittle unofficial preschool three days a week so we are enjoying one another and finding pleanty to do!

A team from a few churches came to see us this month. It has been such a blessing! A band called The Seakers came and had three concerts and people heard the Gospel at least three times each concert. There was an alter call each night, and many seeds were planted. The team travled to a few different cities as well as Kolchugino. They had a team of men who have been giving a Defending your faith/recognizing Cults seminar, and giving out free literture for believrs. Also, a Pastor's wife has joined this team and has blessed the women with a special tea and teaching on "The Character of Daniel." It has been a team that has come with the heart to Evangelize as well as edify the existing body. What a belssing! Thank you Hemet, the Seakers and the guys from Orange County as well.

Ministering in the local villages!

Our church decided it was time to reach out to the villages around our city! So we packed up the kids and backpacks filled with Newspapers and New testaments and went out to a village called Berichino! We walked around and a few rode bicycles and we put the Newspaper, Heavenly Light, that we publish monthly, in the mailboxes and in peoples' hands as well. We try to speak with a few people about the Lord, but many rejected what we had to say. Many also yelled and screamed at a few of the women in our church, cursing and were angry at our presence. The next afternoon we rented a van and packed up some clothes and took them back to the village and gave out free clothes to the people in the village. We also brought many books by Calvary authors and many were interested in reading those as well. We will be returning to the village next week to see a Grandma that we met who is interested in fellowshipping with us and also has some needs that we would like to help her with. Please pray for this village, hearts are cold to the Gospel.

In Kolchugino and all throughout the Vladimr region we are undergoing some administrative changes. As of September first we will loose all support from the C.R.O. out of Calary Chapel Vladimir. Our church currently receives monthly support for bills and ministry outreach and our missionary, Natasha currently is supported for full-time ministry out of the C.R.O. also. We will have to raise support for both the church and for Natasha from our own resources in the States. Please pray with us as this change is very quickly approaching. God is faithful to complete the work that He began.

We are ready to celebrate our four year anniversary here in Russia in the month of August. It is amazing that we have been here that long already. The kids are growing. Joshua is four and a half, Kamillia is three and Jonathan is one-and-a half. They grow so quickly. It is so great to be right where God wants you. To be abiding in Him, this is the key to all of christianity, ture Christianity! Abiding in Him, Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord for our family and what he has called us to do!
